We took the opportunity to ask CPACT to independently evaluate the performance of the Bruker Tornado HTVS process Raman instrument. . The CPACT Evaluation was commissioned by Clairet Scientific and conducted by CPACT (the Centre for Process Control and Analytical Technology) at Strathclyde University.
CPACT evaluated the performance of Clairet Scientific's Bruker Tornado Hyperflux Pro Raman spectrometer (featuring high-throughput virtual slit, or HTVS, technology). The study compared its capabilities to older, legacy Raman instruments and yielded several major findings:
Dramatic Sensitivity Gains: The instrument showcased an 11-fold improvement in the lower limit of detection for metal salts in a liquid solution.
Earlier Crystallisation Detection: In process monitoring simulation tests, the system detected the absolute onset of crystallisation five minutes earlier than legacy spectrometers.
Powder Blending Optimization: The evaluation noted a statistically significant improvement in track-ability and signal-to-noise performance during dynamic powder blending experiments.
